How to cancel YouTube Premium
To cancel YouTube Premium, go to youtube.com/paid_memberships, click Manage membership, then Deactivate, Continue to cancel and Yes, cancel. Your benefits continue until the end of the billing period and you won’t be charged again. If you joined from the YouTube iPhone app, Apple bills you, so cancel in your Apple subscriptions.

Cancel YouTube Premium on a computer
Use this if Google/YouTube bills you directly.
- Go to youtube.com/paid_memberships.
- Click Manage membership.
- Click Deactivate.
- Click Continue to cancel.
- Select your reason for canceling and click Next.
- Click Yes, cancel.
Tip: Want a break instead? Google-billed members can pause the membership rather than cancel it.
Cancel YouTube Premium in the Android app
Use this on an Android phone or tablet if Google/YouTube bills you.
- Open the YouTube app and tap your profile picture, then Paid memberships.
- Tap the membership you want to cancel.
- Tap Continue to cancel.
- Select your reason for canceling and tap Next.
- Tap Yes, cancel.
If you signed up with Google Play billing, YouTube says to cancel in your Google Play account settings instead.
Cancel YouTube Premium on iPhone or iPad (Apple billing)
Only if you joined from the YouTube iPhone or iPad app — then Apple bills you. If Google bills you, use the computer steps above (YouTube says to cancel from a non-iOS device).
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap YouTube Premium.
- Tap Cancel Subscription, then confirm.
Pausing is not available for memberships billed through Apple.
What happens after you cancel YouTube Premium
- Your YouTube paid membership benefits continue until the end of the billing period.
